I got this face wash from the MC Beauty sale because I had heard great things from the brand from Ingrid (missglamorazzi on Youtube) and my favorite Soap and Glory face wash was discontinued in the US. I have super sensitive skin, so I figured the organic should agree with my face and not make it puff up like it sometimes does.
I am obsessed with nail polish. Yet, I stick to the brands I know and love such as OPI, Essie, Julep, Chanel. However, the beauty sale had some gorgeous colors that had great sparkle, so I had to get them. I got a gel manicure when I was home, but I plan on trying these out as soon as it is time to take off.
During the winter I get the driest lips ever. I am constantly rotating chapstick and putting more on. I typically keep a FRESH lip balm in my purse and put the La Mer lip treatment on before bed. This seems like a happy medium. Plus, another Youtuber, Elle Fowler (Allthatglitters21) is addicted to it. I didn't become a VIB at Sephora until after their sale was over, but I hope to pick it up at their next sale -- or maybe with a gift card I got for Christmas.
I always wear the same earrings-- either a pair of stud fake diamonds or a pair of stud pearls. I saw these at Nordstrom and for less than $15, I had to take them home. I loved all three pairs for different occasions, so am going to try and wear different earrings more often. Maybe even get into dangly earrings since I always wear studs.
Color
If you take a look at the "work" area of my wardrobe -- it's almost all black clothing with a few colored tops. It's what we had to wear for market and is such a staple in the fashion industry. However, I want to start buying fun pants, colorful tops, and shoes that aren't black or nude. I'm going to try branching out and wearing more color. Besides the sale sweatpants I get at Victoria's Secret Pink that my mom will make fun of me for (Hey - for $15, you shouldn't be too picky. They're for BED and occasionally walking the dog at night while home).
These are my current plans and goals to try in 2014. Obviously things will change, I will totally add things, and have left off things. I want to travel more, explore new neighborhoods, find the perfect job, and get a puppy (that one will not be happening unless I get a job to work from home and I can magically get permission from my landlord. Our lease we signed over a year ago and renewed this past July states no animals such as cats or dogs. Plus, Belle would get jealous when I came home with another dog!)
What are you hoping to accomplish or try in 2014?
